Undoubtedly one of the most known and representative images of Girona.

They were built towards the end of the Middle Ages, attached to the walls that closed the Old Town and burg of Mercadal.

It is recommendable to take pictures from the Sant Agustí bridge or from the Peixateries Velles one, better known by the name of its builder: Eiffel, responsible also of the famous tower in Paris.
